Enclave Press edits books to read on Ledger Devices. Leveraging the portability and e-ink screens of the devices, you can now transform your hardware wallet into a reader.

Why did you turn a hardware wallet into a reader?
"Because there's an e-ink screen there." We do know these devices are used to secure private keys for blockchain transactions, but we figured we'd extend their capabilities.
But I don't want to turn my hardware wallet into a reader!

Ok, how does it work?
Simple: for each book we created an app that runs on BOLOS (the Ledger device operating system) which renders the text and manages page turning. We designed a reading experience optimized for the constraints of the device. You choose a book from the website, plug your device in, install the app, and you can start reading.
My device asks to allow an unknown source. Should I?
Read the screen, then decide. That prompt is your device telling you the truth: this app is not in Ledger's catalogue and was never submitted to it, so nobody has checked it but us. You can read the code at github.com/s0lness/ledger-ereader, or ask your favourite agent to read it for you.
Can this touch my coins?
The reader makes no keys, asks for no derivation path, never sees your recovery phrase and has no network. It draws text on a screen.
Installing any app is a write to the device, which is why it asks for your PIN: that authorises the installation, it does not hand anything over. Your accounts and your phrase are untouched by it, and removing the app leaves nothing behind.
Do you have the rights to the books published?
We only edit public domain books.
